# Themes

A theme is a complete color set for the interface. Admiral ships seven, and each has a light and a dark variant. You cannot import a theme.

## The families

| Theme | Character |
| --- | --- |
| **Admiral** | The default. Hull is the dark variant. Deck is the light variant. Signal amber marks what needs you. |
| **Army** | Army black and green, with Army gold. Light is tan. |
| **Navy** | Navy blue with yellow. Light is navy white with a blue accent. |
| **Marines** | Black with a scarlet Send button and khaki-gold links. |
| **Air Force** | Near-black navy with a white Send button and sand-gold links. |
| **Space Force** | Near-black with a cold blue cast and an ice-silver accent. |
| **Coast Guard** | Deep marine teal with a racing-stripe orange accent. |

The service names identify the services only. The themes use no seals, insignia, or mottos.

## Choose a theme

Open Settings > Appearance. Pick a mode (System, Light, or Dark), then pick a theme. The theme sets both its light and its dark variant, so it follows System mode. The choice is per device.

## Accent color

Below the themes, Accent color replaces only the interaction accent with a preset. Syntax colors, terminal colors, diff colors, and the four state colors stay owned by the theme.

## What is fixed

Admiral has no font, chat-width, or window-glass settings. The interface uses Chivo. Code and the terminal use Chivo Mono. Every surface is opaque.
