Steer and queue
The composer has three actions: Send, Queue, and Stop. The app shows the useful one for the current state. This page explains each one.
Send
Send delivers your text to the agent now.
- While the agent is running, Send steers the current turn. The agent reads your message without losing its place.
- While the agent is idle, Send starts a new turn.
Queue
Queue holds your text until the agent can take it. The queue is durable: your messages survive a closed app, a dead network, and a restart. The device that hosts the session delivers them.
The composer offers Queue instead of Send when:
- The message carries an attachment that must reach the host device first.
- The session runs a legacy agent that accepts instructions only at turn boundaries.
- The agent asked you a question and is parked while it waits.
Queued instructions run in order. You can queue several in a row and close the laptop.
Stop
Stop interrupts the agent. The transcript keeps everything up to the stop. Your drafts and queued messages stay.
Answer questions
When an agent needs a decision, it asks. A question panel opens over the composer.
- The panel lists the answers. Select one, or press its number key.
- Questions come one page at a time and advance after you answer.
- While a question is open, the session status shows amber.
Drafts
Every session keeps its own draft. Switch sessions, and your unfinished text is still there when you come back.
Offline work
You do not need a connection to the session's host device to keep working. Queue your instructions; the host delivers them when you reconnect. See Connect another device.
